Link – The Legend of Zelda

A fully posable adult Link figurine from the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I’ve always liked Nintendo videogames and for a while now wanted to render one of their renowned characters in bricks as a tribute. The initial thought was to make a figure with a fully posable body. This meant many articulation joints, but […]

Transformer “Toxic”

A transforming alternate from Creator set 31007 Power Mech called “Toxic”. If there’s one subject difficult to render with bricks, it’s transformers. Swiveling parts everywhere while maintaining structure integrity is one thing, but having both modes look decent is another story. Keeping all this in mind requires a lot of compromises. Add to the formula […]

T-Rex

This prehistoric monster is an alternate of 31008 Thunder Wings. This T-Rex type of dinosaur is certainly something different than the official models. This beast has plenty of articulation with hip-, knee-, and ankle joints, including swiveling neck and tail. This ferocious creature can even move its arms, although it prefers to use its jaws.

Transformer “SideSwipe”

The classic SideSwipe transformer, based on the Lamborghini Countach. 2 types of models were already a while on the ‘to do’ list. A highly detailed 1:17 scale sportscar, based on a real vehicle and a transformer. So why not combining them both using the original SideSwipe as inspiration? With a lack of specific wheelarches and […]

Banjo Kazooie

Banjo and Kazooie, the famous N64 video game characters made exclusively from set 4884. As one of the best platform games on the N64, those crazy characters deserve more attention. Banjo the not so smart bear, and Kazooie the sarcastic bird go on an adventure to rescue Banjo’s little sister. Having to deal with the […]

Scrat the Squirrel

Scrat the squirrel from Ice Age, built exclusively with parts from Designer set 4884. When mentioning Ice Age, the character that most people seem to remember directly is this cute little Squirrel Scrat. Always looking for those precious acorns, which are more like unicorns to him; (almost) impossible to get hold of. My main focus […]
